As Mercer Street’s General Counsel, David is responsible for a broad range of transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters, as well as all legal aspects of the firm’s day-to-day operations. David also supports the firm’s asset management and investor relations teams.

Prior to joining Mercer Street, David served as General Counsel for a New York-based family office where he advised on real estate and corporate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, entity formation, and corporate restructuring and governance. Earlier in his career, David was as an Associate with the corporate practice group of Stroock, Stroock & Lavan LLP. While at Stroock, David represented private equity fund sponsors, such as J.P Morgan Asset Management and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, in the formation, capitalization and operation of private investment funds. In addition, David represented private company borrowers in a variety of debt financing transactions totaling more than $3.5 billion.
